AN ENCLOSED PORCH TURNED FAMILY ROOM
So here is the before pic, a pretty standard enclosed porch that was only accessible via the garage or the outside. It was home to a large, plastic-tablechoth covered dining table which I imagine was not used too often. The room was adjacent a spare bedroom, which had a small window peaking into the enclosed porch.Â
Here is the view of the enclosed porch from inside the house.
We started the project by taking down the wall between the two rooms and adding new floor boards to create a sense of flow and consistency.
Then we added wood shiplap boards on top of the old brown plywood ceiling to add visual interest and framed the fireplace. Â
Then came the drywall.
And finally, painting (Benjamin Moore Decorator’s White – possibly my new fave white) and some furniture (from Article.com).Â
This once forgotton room is now a cozy place to curl up by the fire and has the best views in the house!
