Let’s be honest, function aside, when it comes to upper cabinets, less is more. We’re not saying it makes sense for everyone – or even for most people – we’re just saying it looks friggin’ fantastic. If you have the space (and the will power to declutter your life and live with less cabinet storage) a kitchen without upper cabinets is a little slice of kitchen design heaven.
We created this beach house kitchen in Tiny Ontario with no uppers to highlight the stunning smoke veined white marble slab backsplash – and to help keep the eye’s focus on the amazing beach view. Seriously, this view, it’s simply too much.
We absolutely love how this project turned out. Sleek, flat-panel black base cabinets, tone on tone hardware, frameless windows, and a panel-ready fridge completed the look.
